Habit, Bill, Reading & Savings Trackers

Paper trackers work because they're visible. A habit grid stuck to the fridge catches your eye every time you open it. A bill log on your desk means you never wonder whether you paid the electric bill. There's something satisfying about making a physical tick that no app notification quite matches.

Build your tracker below, choose your accent colour, toggle Large Print if you need it, and hit Print. Nothing is uploaded or stored anywhere — your settings live in your own browser.

How to use each tracker

Habit Tracker

  1. Type your habits — one per line — in the Habit Names box. Leave rows blank to fill in by hand.
  2. Pick the month and year, or choose Blank month to write the dates yourself.
  3. Set the number of rows to match how many habits you track (up to 25).
  4. Print in landscape orientation so all 31 columns fit cleanly.
  5. Each evening, tick the box for every habit you completed that day. A filled row = a perfect day.

Bill Payment Log

  1. Enter each bill's name, the usual amount, and the day of month it's typically due.
  2. Choose 12-month columns for a year-at-a-glance overview, or Single month list for more detail each month.
  3. Print and keep it somewhere visible — on the fridge or pinned near your desk.
  4. Tick the box (or write the date paid) as soon as you pay each bill.

Reading Log

  1. Set the number of rows — 20 fills a single A4 page neatly; go higher for a full-year log.
  2. Print and keep a copy in your current book as a bookmark.
  3. Fill in title, author, started date, and finished date as you read.
  4. Use the Notes column for a star rating, a one-word verdict, or a favourite quote.

Savings Tracker

  1. Enter your goal amount — the thermometer divides it into 10 milestones automatically.
  2. Add a label (e.g. Holiday fund or New laptop) and choose your currency symbol.
  3. Print and stick it somewhere motivating.
  4. Colour in each thermometer section as you reach each milestone. Watching it fill up is genuinely satisfying.

Frequently asked questions

Are these trackers really free?
Yes, completely free. There's no signup, no account, and no subscription. Customise your tracker, hit Print, and you're done.
Which habit tracker layout does this use?
The habit tracker uses a monthly grid with habits listed as rows and days 1–31 as columns — the classic 'don't break the chain' format. You can pick a specific month and year or leave it blank so you can write in the dates yourself. Landscape orientation in your print dialog works best.
What's the difference between the bill tracker and a budget app?
A budget app calculates and categorises your spending automatically. The bill payment log here is simpler: it's a paper record you fill in by hand as you pay each bill. Many people find a physical tick-list on the fridge easier to act on than an app. It's a log, not financial advice.
Can I use the Large Print option for easier reading?
Yes. Toggle 'Large Print' in the settings panel and the printed output will use a bigger font size throughout. It's useful if you're printing for someone with low vision, or if you simply prefer larger text to write in.
Can I save my settings so I don't have to re-enter them?
Your settings are automatically saved in your browser's localStorage under the key 'ptb:trackers'. They reload the next time you visit — no account needed. Nothing is sent to a server. If you clear your browser data, the settings will reset to defaults.
