What this habit tracker includes

The printed sheet has a header row showing the days of the month (1–31, or fewer for shorter months), and one row per habit listed down the left column. Blank rows appear as fill-in spaces labelled write habit here so you can complete the sheet by hand after printing. The month and year appear in the title; choose Blank monthto leave them empty.

How to use this habit tracker

  1. Type your habits — enter one habit per line in the Habit Names box. Leave rows blank if you want to write them in after printing.
  2. Pick a month and year — or select Blank month for a reusable template you can label by hand.
  3. Set the number of rows — choose enough for your habits, plus a few spare blank rows if you want flexibility.
  4. Print in landscape — set orientation to Landscape in your browser print dialog so all the day columns fit neatly.
  5. Stick it somewhere you will see it — on the fridge, your bathroom mirror, or your desk. Visibility is the key to using a paper tracker consistently.
  6. Tick each day as you go — a cross, a tick, an initial — any mark works. The goal is a solid row by the end of the month.

Practical tips

  • Start with three to five habits rather than ten — a short list you actually use beats a long list you ignore.
  • Keep the tracker in the same place every month so checking off becomes automatic.
  • At the end of the month, count up your streaks before filing the sheet away — a quick review takes one minute and gives you a sense of progress.
  • Print two or three months at once so you always have a fresh sheet ready on the first of the month.

Frequently asked questions

What layout does this habit tracker use?
The tracker uses a monthly grid — habits are listed as rows down the left side, and the days 1 through 31 (or however many days are in the chosen month) run across the top as columns. This is the classic 'don't break the chain' format: you mark each day you completed a habit and aim to keep the streak going.
How many habits can I track on one sheet?
You can set between 3 and 25 rows. The default is 10. Type your habit names into the text box — one per line — or leave rows blank to fill in by hand after printing.
Should I print in portrait or landscape?
Landscape is recommended for the habit tracker because 31 day-columns fit much better across the wider page. Set the orientation in your browser's print dialog before printing.
Can I leave the month blank to fill in by hand?
Yes. Choose 'Blank month' from the month selector and the header will say 'Month' without a specific date — useful if you want to print a stack of sheets in advance.
Can I save my habit list so I don't have to retype it every time?
Yes. Your settings — including your habit names — are automatically saved in your browser's localStorage. They will be there next time you visit. Nothing is sent to a server.
