What this bill tracker includes

In the 12-month columns layout, each row shows a bill name, the usual amount, the due day of the month, and a checkbox column for each of the 12 months — so you can tick off payments for the whole year on a single sheet. In the single-month list layout, each row has a bill name, amount due, due date, a date-paid field, and a paid checkbox — giving you more detail for a single month. Both layouts print cleanly and are designed to be filled in by hand.

How to use this bill tracker

  1. Enter your bills — type each bill name, the usual amount, and the day of the month it is typically due.
  2. Choose a layout — 12-month columns for a year overview, or single-month list for more detail.
  3. Print the sheet — use landscape for the 12-month view, portrait for the single-month list.
  4. Keep it somewhere visible — on the fridge, pinned near your desk, or in a household binder where you review bills.
  5. Tick each bill as you pay it — a simple tick or the date paid. At the end of the month, a complete row means all bills are settled.

Practical tips

  • Sort bills by due date so the earliest-due ones appear at the top — making it easy to see what is coming up first.
  • Use the amount column to write in the actual payment each month if the bill varies (e.g. electricity).
  • Print a fresh sheet at the start of each year (for the 12-month view) or each month (for the single-month list).
  • File completed sheets together so you have a simple paper record of when bills were paid throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions

What layouts are available for the bill tracker?
There are two layouts. The 12-month columns layout gives you a year-at-a-glance view with a checkbox column for each month — useful for tracking recurring bills across the year. The single-month list layout gives more detail per month with columns for amount due, due date, date paid, and a paid checkbox.
How many bills can I add to the tracker?
You can add up to 20 bills. The default list includes five common recurring bills as a starting point. Remove any you do not need and add your own.
Is this a budgeting tool or financial advice?
No. This is a simple paper log for recording when you pay bills — the same kind of list many people keep on a notepad or spreadsheet. It does not analyse your spending, calculate totals, or advise you on your finances. It is a log, not financial advice.
Should I print in portrait or landscape?
Landscape is recommended for the 12-month columns layout so all 12 month columns fit across the page. Portrait works well for the single-month list layout. Set orientation in your browser's print dialog.
Can I save my bill list so I don't have to retype it next month?
Yes. Your settings — including all bill names, amounts, and due days — are automatically saved in your browser's localStorage. They reload the next time you visit. Nothing is sent to a server.
